The S1 Pro has excellent navigation and mapping thanks to the internal dToF system. It can maintain the appearance of a low-profile, while offering the best in detection of objects. It can drive close to walls without crashing and avoids steps, and can also raise its mop when driving over rugs and short-pile carpets. However, it did struggle in the presence of longer-pile carpets as well as large, thick messes of dried-on debris.

Like all robots like it, the S1 Pro comes ready to take off from the box and needs only the initial mapping run to get it used to your home.
