The best robotic mop and vacuum Robot Hoover

The best robot hoover can mop and vacuum without needing your attention. It will leave your floors clean. Its affordable price and high-end features (such as a dirt detectors) are a plus.

The Q5 Pro and its sibling, the pricier Q7 Max Series, are among the most powerful robot vacuums we've test. Like other iRobots with premium features (including the top model) they utilize intelligent mapping to design precise floorplans that avoid obstacles like furniture leg. They also come with carpet boost that boosts the robot's performance when it detects the presence of dirt on the carpet in order to get it clean quickly.

The Q5 and Q7 Max Series both scored extremely well in our tests of floors with no carpet and are especially adept in cleaning dog hair. There are some issues however, which hinder them from being our top option. One of the Q5's shortcomings is its navigation system doesn't include AI-powered obstacle avoidance. It's also prone to getting stuck on shoes and socks and could not navigate through rooms with a lot of people well in our tests. It doesn't also come with a camera to look around corners.

It's still a great option to consider, particularly if you're looking to save money on a Roomba from iRobot, and you have a bare-floored home or office. Plus, it's very quiet and can work when you're at work or going to school. It doesn't have the edge-to-edge floor vacuuming available in the more expensive iRobot Roomba X30. It's also less effective at mopping, relying on disposable wet wipes, which don't stick on for long and don't take on dried-on debris. The Q5 does come with self-emptying docks, however. If you're in need of it, the mopping pad can be swapped for Best Robot Hoover one that is wet in just a few seconds.

2. IRobot Roomba

The iRobot Roomba X30 is a compact sleek and stylish vacuum cleaner that can also sweep floors. Its intelligent cleaning maps and nimble navigation make it easy to clean and effective in tackling larger particles, like pet hair. It also has a self-emptying bin, powerful suction, and support for virtual boundaries. It's the best robot hoover for carpets, but it isn't as efficient as some of its competitors in deep cleaning.

This high-performance vacuum and mops utilizes sensors that help it avoid obstacles and pet waste. It also learns the patterns of your home over time to offer more efficient cleaning. You can modify the schedule of cleaning and even customize zones through the well-designed app. It comes with a battery life that is comparable to other models.

When the X30 Ultra is in a carpeted area, you can instruct it to remove and extend its mop. This can help avoid cross contamination. Its flex arm can also be used to reach under low-lying furnishings and along baseboards. It doesn't perform as well on the washboard as our other Editors' Choice Picks, the Ecovacs Ozmo N8Pro+ and the iRobot Combo j9+.

During tests, the X30 Ultra was the fastest robot cleaner with mop vacuum/mop to complete an entire house, finishing with 66 percent of its battery left. It also did a good job cleaning a variety of rooms and floors with mixed flooring types, including some area carpets. Its obstacle detection was superb and it stayed clear of fake dog turds, socks, shoes and bundles cables.

It's a little more expensive than the iRobot Combo v9+ and iRobot Roomba j9+, however, it comes with superior suction, a dustbin on board that automatically emptys into its base, and it supports voice commands through Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. It can even clean the floor after vacuuming it, something hasn't been seen in other robot vacuum/mop combinations.

3. Roomba X40 from iRobot

This robot vacuum and mop combination features a sleek, circular design that looks more like a regular Roomba model than the bulky models of the competition. It is one of our most appealing looking robot vacuums. The newest model from iRobot is among the most intelligent and has advanced features like enhanced dirt detection technology and future compatibility with Matter (another company's robot that can wash its own mop pads).

It's also the only robot vacuum/mop that scored an absolute 10 out of 10 in our tests. This is due to a combination high-tech sensors, including a structured light system, camera, and a variety of lasers. The X40 Ultra was the only robot vacuum that vacuums and mops we tested that could refill and empty its basestation autonomously. It also boasted a suction of 12,000Pa and Best Robot Hoover self-cleaning mops.

Like other iRobot models as well, the X40 is user-friendly, offering a simple mobile app interface, and integration with Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit and Google Assistant. The only drawback is that the X40 is still a loud unit. This can be a problem in mornings prior to work or in the evening when you are trying to sleep.

It's also quite expensive, though it's not as expensive as the Ecovacs Omni or the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra Both of which are equally powerful and look better. If you're willing to put up some more volume and a little more cost it's a powerful two-in-one that will delight most.

iRobot L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is the top-of-the high-end robot vacuum and mop. It has a range of features that are advanced and will make you forget about your chores. Like Ecovacs' range-topping X2 Omni and Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra, the L20 is designed to be a hands-off cleaning machine that can take care of both mopping and vacuuming, with a multi-function dock that automatically empty the vacuum's dustbin, refills its water tank and washes and dries its mop pads.

The smart robot uses LIDAR and structured lighting to map out floor plans and spot obstacles. It can navigate more efficiently than its competitors with premium features. It also has a camera mounted on the front for real-time hazard detection however, it wasn't 100% foolproof during our tests and was occasionally confused by power cords or other obstructions.

Its auto vacuum and mop cleaner has the capacity to suction up to 7,000 Pascals which is more than sufficient to do the job. It also has "Intelligent Dirt Detection", that regulates the amount of time the vacuum works and adjusts the frequency of cleaning for different areas of your home in accordance with how dirty they tend to be.

For larger homes it's worth looking for a model with spot or zone cleaning modes that let you tell the robot to clean one particular area of your house by using the app or via voice commands. A stair mode can be useful if you own a large furniture. For families that are busy, a recharge feature and resume feature that allows your robot vacuum to pick up where it left off could be very useful.

iRobot RX3

The RX3 is a more efficient cleaner than you'd expect from its price tag. It's a pro at cleaning, removing 55% of the debris we found in our tests (it was second only to the Roomba Q5 Pro). It also mops with one pad that has a reciprocating motion, which cleans better than most of the other mop cleaners for robots we've tested. It's also extremely self-sufficient, with a fully-featured app, and a self-emptying, washable base.

The iRobot application is designed to guide you through an exercise in mapping that collects data on your floorplan, as well as any "no go" areas you've marked on the map. It can be used to make cleaning schedules, set up the perfect spot for cleaning or prioritize your most filthy rooms for better performance. The app has a range of features, including seasonal suggestions, customized mapping, and advanced cleaning settings.

Its shape is more rectangular than most other robot vacuums, meaning it is able to reach corners and under furniture more easily. It also has strong 8,000 Pascal suction and combs with intelligent technology for pet hair. It also has the ability to set up a spot cleaning that scours a specific area.

The Miele Scout RX3 Home Vision HD is a sleeker more affordable alternative to iRobot Roomba. It has a more attractive, Dolce & Gabbana-esque design and its twin cameras resemble cute eyes. It is great at vacuuming, but it is more likely to get caught in low thresholds. It is also louder than other top robot cleaner with mop vacuums that we have tested. It also comes with an app that's not as intuitive and has a tiny base station that can't double as a bin to empty.
