Their decisions were influenced by four factors: their personalities and multilingual identities, their current lives, as well as their relationships. Then, we compared the selections with their linguistic performance on DCTs to determine if they are indicative of resistance to pragmatics. In addition, the interviewees were asked to explain their choice of pragmatic behavior in a given situation.
The results of the MQs and DCTs were then examined using descriptive statistics and z-tests. It was found that the CLKs frequently used euphemistic responses such as "sorry" and "thank you." This could be due to their lack of familiarity with the target language which led to an insufficient knowledge of korea pragmatic norms. But it is advisable for future researchers to revisit their applicability in specific situations and in various contexts. This will help them better understand the effects of different cultures on the classroom behavior and interactions of students from L2.
