WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades give a guaranteed boost to specific stats. Each upgrade increases the level of the item by +3. A random substat is also added to each upgrade.

Upgraded gear is generally more valuable, unless it is not required by nature (like FB sorc shields) or has a high variance in stats (like Eth Titan weapons). Upgrades aren't as useful for those with higher variance due to the requirement to roll the perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader allows players to upgrade gear to a higher item level by supplying the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of weapon or armor. The item upgrading used to upgrade the item is discarded and cannot be used again. Upgrades can also be used to create the enchantments.

You can upgrade your gear anytime by visiting the upgrader in any major city. It is recommended to visit the upgrader once every few weeks, to ensure that your equipment is up-to-date.

Upgrades will cost more, based on the level of the item, however they'll always be less expensive than purchasing new gear. Upgrades like upgrading a Benthic chest up to ilvl385 will cost you 20 recycle points. If you purchase a similar item, it will cost you 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are useful items that are used to upgrade weapons, tools, armor, and other items. Players can purchase them through NPCs who sell upgrades to item level upgrade - visit your url, owners in a variety of currencies. They can also find them on random treasure lists. Once an upgrade is purchased it can be used on any weapon, tool, or armor with an button, which displays an image of the item upgrade at the next upgrade level when the player has enough materials.

The cost of upgrading varies based on the slot for the item upgrader mod and the current level of the item. For instance weapons cost more than gloves, bracers, or bracers. Each upgrade cost 15 Flightstones plus a certain number of crests. Some upgrades offer discounts on Flightstones. Once an item upgrading has been upgraded to a certain degree and is degraded, it can be sold and returned to the upgrader for a lesser amount of the two currencies.

Many locations offer item upgraders in addition to the main island and a few outposts. The NPCs offer both an upgrade discount as well as a chance to obtain a new upgrade recipe. The discount for upgrades increases with the number of items being upgraded, and can be boosted by having players complete specific achievements or complete quests.

Icewind Dale does not have an item upgrader at beginning unlike Cromwell from Baldur's gate II. Instead, the NPCs that are available to help with upgrades require several methods which is both an improvement but also a drawback.

In Season 3 the upgrade system was tweaked a bit, with some new features added. Once a player obtains an upgrade to a particular level of an item for a specific armor slot, upgrading other items to that level will cost less even when they are part of an entirely different set of gear.

The amount of Valorstones required for upgrades is decreased, and the discount is affixed to all accounts. The amount of Harbinger Crests needed to upgrade is cut too, but it is only available after certain milestones are reached.

Crests

Players have several options when it comes to upgrading their gear in WoW. Flightstones are a currency that is available to everyone who wants to upgrade. Crests are more specific, and are used during specific item level upgrades. Crests are a crucial component of the Dragonflight Gear Progression System that was introduced in version 10.1. They are available in four ranks.

First, you should know that Crests are only available to gear that is of a particular rank. Each rank has a different upgrade path. The most basic and straightforward upgrade path costs 15 crests, while the most complex may require as many as 20 crests based on the kind of gear being upgraded.

Players can earn crests through completing tasks at the appropriate level. This could mean engaging in outdoor activities or taking on dungeons and raids of any difficulty to earn equipment of lower tier or Mythicbosses of raids or dungeons with heroic difficulty for gear in the endgame. These crests can be exchanged with an item upgrader, such as Cuzolth or Vaskarn, in Valdrakken to upgrade the item in the proper steps and routes.

The new currency system isn't complicated to use, but it does bring some changes to the process of upgrading. When a piece of equipment reaches the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer), it will no longer require Flightstones. This allows players to upgrade their equipment to the highest possible level on all their characters, instead of relying on seasonal loot.

Another significant change is that crests have one usage, so it's important to use them wisely. It is best to use your Whelpling-rank crests on the best gear you can find and save Drake and Wyrm Crests to be used for the next set of upgrades. This is especially relevant for rings and trinkets that take up multiple slots on the character, which can only be eligible to benefit from the discount for all accounts when all slots are filled with high-quality equipment.
