Greenpower Mobility - All-green energy mobility scooters Medium and Heavy-Duty Vehicles

Greenpower creates, builds and distributes a range of low-floor and high-floor all-electric heavy and medium-duty vehicles. This includes transit buses, school cargo buses, buses for cargo, and shuttles.

EV Star is a highly customizable zero-emission vehicle. It's fully FTA certified, Altoona tested and Buy America conforming. It offers class-leading range, ADA wheelchair provisions, and cargo delivery systems.

EV Star

GreenPower Motor Company manufactures a complete range of heavy and medium-duty green power electric mobility scooter vehicles, including high-floor and lower-floor models. Their flagship vehicle is the EV Star Cab & Chassis platform, scooter Green power which is able to accommodate a variety of upfits and bodies for multiple applications. The platform's design is based on a clean paper sheet, which allows for optimum placement of the battery and a lower center of gravity. This results in better payload/range ratios.

The EV Star REEFERX is designed to meet the needs of mid to last mile refrigerated delivery and catering. The refrigerated truck's class 4 design's one interior wall structure and higher insulation than traditional trucks allow for seamless sanitation, better temperature control, and a longer life. The EV Star REEFERX provides superior cargo capacity and an industry leading payload-to-range ratio for zero-emission goods and passenger transportation.

GreenPower has collaborated with Perrone Robotics to up-fit the EV Star with their TONY (To Navigate You) autonomous vehicle system. This will allow fleets to easily transition to autonomous vehicles. The AV Star can also be wirelessly charging up to 75 kW.

We were capable of testing the EV9 on an unpaved highway for several hours, and found it to be easy to drive and comfortable to drive for long distances. The EV9 is able to suppress wind and road noise while driving along the highway. It is smooth on bumps and ruts. The vehicle's acceleration is surprising quick, and it features adjustable regenerative brakes to enable "one-pedal driving" simply by taking off the accelerator.

The EV9 has a great range and can be fully charged in about three hours at home or using any commercial charger. The driver can select from two operating modes: eco mode and sport mode. The eco mode is a preference for the cruise control and torque and the sport mode maximizes speed and handling. Both are a lot of fun to drive and offer a unique driving experience for anyone that has not driven an electric vehicle before.

GreenPower offers several other eVehicles, including a multipurpose all-green power electric scooter minibus called the EV Star. The EV Star is ADA compliant and can be used as an executive shuttle, micro-transit or transit bus, vanpool or a paratransit vehicle.

GreenPower is already producing about 10 EV Star buses per month for the Jacksonville Transit Authority, which is attempting to replace their fleet of older diesel vehicles with 100 all-electric scooter green vehicles. GreenPower will increase production to meet the demands of the Biden Administration who is planning to electrify all school buses in America. Their EV Star buses are the first of their kind to be Altoona tested and FMVSS-certified, Buy America compliant, and ADA certified. This makes them eligible for federal transit grants.
