Path of Exile Item Upgrading

The Best item upgrade method to improve your equipment in Path of Exile is through item upgrades. This lets you upgrade your gear without having depend on costly drops or trades. This article will teach you how to upgrade your items.

Upgrading equipment grants an increase to the item's base stats. This bonus is based on the upgrade component's level and rarity.

Components

Upgrade components can make your armour and weapons better. You can find them through destroying enemies, buying them from karma sellers or finding them in items-spheres. You can also get them from equipment that contains the components or through high-end salvage kits like Black Lion Salvage Kit and Ascended Salvage Tool. Upgrade components are not destroyed when you remove them from the item.

Upgrade components are typically used to improve an item but they can also be used for other reasons. They can be used to increase the quality of an upgradeable item upgrade (wizdomz.wiki official) or they can be used to increase the amount of experience gained from upgrading an existing weapon or piece of gear. They can be forged to give extra bonuses. For instance, a specially created glyph can increase the chance of upgrading its target, while an upgrade boost will boost the defense or attack attribute of a weapon or armor.

Selecting an upgrade template from the GUI will allow you to connect it to an item upgrader. This will show the list of upgrade components that the Best item upgrade can be upgraded to. You can also use the workbench for selecting an upgrade template. In either scenario, an item will be upgraded once enough upgrade components have been collected.

Each component has its own experience multiplier, which affects the amount of experience an item will gain when it is upgraded by the component. It is therefore recommended to upgrade using organic components until you reach the multiplier of experience for the next rank of weapon or gear, then change to mechanical upgrades.

Each item comes with an upgrade maximum number that it is possible to receive. Sets

Rerolling

If a player has enough rerolling tokens, they can roll any item they've accumulated during the game. When an upgraded item upgrader kit gets rerolled, it will be exchanged for a version that is level 1 of the same item from a different set. Reroll tokens can be purchased in the shop for a small sum of in-game currency. They cannot be refunded. The new item upgraded will still come with the extra benefits of the previous one however, its stats will be different as well.

In addition to rerolling items, players can also change the identification of any Best item upgrade by interfacing with an upgrader NPC. This will change the identity from a weapon to armor or vice versa, while keeping its basic stats and attributes that are required. The change will be permanent and will affect all characters who own the gear.
