The i3+ does not feature obstacle avoidance features like the i7+ or any other top-rated robots we have tested. It may get stuck on power cords and socks, and may have trouble navigating between different surfaces, like hardwood and rug.

iRobot recommends you clear out areas where the i3+ EVO will vacuum prior to when you use it, which includes putting away any clutter or toys it might encounter. In our testing the i7+ performed faster and more maneuverable than our runner-up which was the eufy RoboVac G30, and it picked up large pieces of pet hair from all surfaces types, including carpeting. Its main advantage over the eufy it self-empties its dust bin, which eliminates a major cause of maintenance and lowers recurring costs.

We were also impressed by the i7+'s integration with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant AI services, which we used to instruct the robot to start, stop or pause its cleaning routines, move itself around the room, and even vacuum an area. The process of connecting the i7+ to these services was easy and easy with the iRobot Home app. We were able, once connected, to give voice commands to the i7+, such as "Hey Alexa vacuum the master bedroom." It was able to remove most types of debris in our tests, and frequently went over the same area many times to give an extensive clean. Its flat front design allows it to reach corners and the edges of walls.

Its smart navigation system uses iAdapt technology to avoid obstacles and guide you through your home. However, it lacks the capabilities for mapping of more advanced models, including our top picks, the i3+EVO and the j7+ Series. As a result, it is sometimes stuck on things like phone cords and furniture that isn't in good condition, and frequently is power-depleted before returning to its original location.

The Xiaomi Mi robot is superior in many ways over the Roomba 694 in that it has less parts that require regular cleaning, is equipped with an allergen-trapping HEPA filtering system, incurs lower recurring cost and has more advanced automation abilities and is better able to navigate itself. Samsung is a well-known brand in the field of home electronics. It's no surprise, then, that they are also among the top producers of robot vacuums and mop. Their Jet Bot AI+ is equipped with cutting-edge onboard tech for navigation and obstacle avoidance.

The app offers a wide range of customization options for your robotic cleaner. These include mopping levels, virtual barriers and behavior customizations docking frequency settings and more. It's easy to comprehend and user-friendly, as is the case with other Samsung devices.

In our tests during our tests, the Jet Bot AI+ performed well on hard floors. It removed 86% of dog hair (on carpet). It didn't do very well in avoiding taller objects like socks or cords. This was disappointing. It's also more expensive than other models we've tested and this could be a deal breaker for certain shoppers.
