World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can increase the value of armors, weapons and rings. Upgrades also increase bonuses such as Crit chance and damage from PvE.

If the weapon's upgrade template is in %, the weapon will gain 3percent of its previous attack damage each time it is upgraded.

The cost of upgrading an item increases as it reaches the item upgrader kit's current level. The cost increases as the item's level increases.

Components

Upgrade components can be incorporated into trinkets, armor, and weapons in order to give them a stat boost or an extra effect. These can be obtained through crafting, purchasing from vendors, trading or looting. Certain upgrades have unique cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can be placed in equipment with a slot for them. The item must be at least upgraded to the blue level to allow a component to be inserted. Upgrade components, unlike other mods can only be applied once. They cannot be replaced or applied several times. Infusions and enrichments are a particular type of upgrade component that is used to upgrade non-amulet ascended or legendary equipment, as well as some of the back items that are not ascending. Infusions and enrichments can be retrieved by salvaging gear that is ascended or completing an elite task in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.

A prefix or suffix may be added to an upgrade, thereby changing the name of the item it's applied to (for example, 'Canthan Armor Insignia',' changes to Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Some upgrades boost the Mark Level or Rarity, allowing players to create stronger versions of that equipment with fewer Upgrade Crystals than is required to reach the same level of upgrade using normal methods.

A boost upgrade can alter the attack or defense attributes of a weapon or armor. These upgrades are available to be crafted from the Portative Forging Station once the player completes the cutscene and defeats the Crazed mechanic. These upgrades are available for purchase them from the cash shop or getting them from enemies while upgrading other equipment.

The player can get the maximum of five boost upgrades at one time; each upgrade increases the chance that a higher-tier version of the item will drop during the next reset. This gives players an incentive to upgrade their gear, even in the event that they don't know how much it can be improved upon the reset.

The boost upgrade may be successful or not, the process can be expensive, and there is a significant chance that the item could become obsolete or even break if it fails; a failed upgrade will destroy Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder, as well as the upgraded item. This is reduced by the availability of cash shop items that can double or even eliminate the chance of failure, as well as some upgrades that provide the benefit of being reinserted into an item.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to enhance the Paragon Board by placing them in sockets that are specifically designed for. Glyphs boost the power of nodes within a radius, and include any pre-existing attaches. Glyphs are upgraded in many ways. We suggest upgrading them as soon as you can to level 15.

It is commonplace to see in the final game that placing Glyphs is a great way to upgrade your equipment. These are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded up to level 15 and give an enormous boost to your power on the Paragon Board.

The majority of upgrades in the game can be replaced however, Glyphs are only the one upgrade component that can be removed and re-placed without restriction. The only exception is legendary equipment that requires the use of a Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and then re-install.

The value of each Glyph is displayed when you select it in your inventory. You can decide to replace it with a Glyph with the same rank or higher rank, which will increase the value of the Glyph.

Glyphs can be found in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of a Gem Store bundle or purchase them with certain tools that are unlimited in use, and during Faction Crypt Raids. Every Faction Crypt will drop one of these Glyphs. There are some rare glyphs that you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.

Once you have the desired Glyphs then you have to put them on your gear. Each Glyph unlocks a unique bonus that will boost a particular set of stat nodes in the vicinity of the Glyph. Depending on the Glyph it could be +40 to one of your primary stats or +25 to two of your secondary stats.

Using the Glyph will boost all the nodes that are connected to it, and you should try to place your Glyphs near key nodes on the Graph to maximise the impact. For instance an Druid should try to place their Glyphs close to their primary damage points, but also think about placing them near crucial damage nodes, too.

Leveling

The item upgrading system allows players to improve the stats of certain items by placing upgraded components in them. This is known as "upping". Each upgradeable Best item upgrade comes with an amount that determines its upgraded stats. Upgraded items can be upgraded up to a maximum level of 385. Each level of item requires different components, and upgrade costs increase with each level.

Certain upgrades require a specific ingredient to activate. This ingredient can be obtained by completing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be purchased from NPCs or on the upgrade tab of the crafting table. Each Upgrade Recipe completed will result in a certain amount of Technology points. These points can be used to level the item, and when enough points are earned, the upgrade will be claimed and the additional bonuses will be added to the item.

When the player upgrades an item, the base item is replaced with a different item of the same type. The same armor can be transformed into an weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item will have its own set bonus. This could be a drawback in that it could cause the item to become more expensive if you don't require it.

Upgrades to items can be rerolled, if the player has enough tokens to be able to do so. This will cause the item to be traded for a new one, which will have the level 1 base, and a completely different set of bonus bonuses. This is a good idea, but should not be repeated often since it can be a waste of resources.

Some upgrades can increase their value, allowing players to customize their equipment. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, as it provides an increase in power if the player is repeatedly in or exits the water. It can be upgraded multiple times, each time raising the maximum roll by a factor of 10. This item is extremely useful in PvP battles, since a perfectly rolled version of it could be worth between 20 and 50x its value without being upgraded.

Requirements

Item upgrading allows players to boost the level of their available gear--armor, weapons and trinkets above ilvl 385--by offering the appropriate items and currency to an NPC who upgrades items. The upgrade of armor set pieces will also increase the base defense of the item, and upgrading weapon items will increase the damage base and required strength and dexterity to match the requirements of the upgraded equipment.

Each item can be upgraded up to five times, except for hero equipment, which is able to be upgraded eight times. Every time you upgrade an item, it is given the chance to fail. The failure rate increases the farther you go over the maximum number of upgrades. Failures will result in the item upgrade returning to its original state which means that the player has to purchase more materials than if they had stopped upgrading after the maximum number.

If an item fails to upgrade, the amount of accumulated experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. The item will also lose any bonuses it has gained like the chance to crit, attack damage, or additional effects (such as increased heal over time, or the speed of reloading). However, the user can still continue to use the weapon or armor following the failure.

When an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied in order from the lowest to the highest. This means that if a weapon gains a crit chance increase it will be applied prior to any attack damage increases. Slots is a brand new attribute that was added to item definitions. The value is calculated every time an upgrade occurs.

The amount of resources required to upgrade an item are determined by its rarity rating and the number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading non-premium items is equal to the base value of the upgrade--for instance, a standard equipment item may have five upgrades, each costing 25,600 Technology Points and a 4x Quality Improvement Chance--whereas hero grade items will come with a much lower cost for each additional upgrade.

Premium items could have different upgrade requirements from standard gear. For instance, they may need fewer sowels, but more minerals and orons. The player will need to carry every piece of equipment they want to upgrade to the NPC [Armor] Boboko located in Central Flarine. In addition to the upgrade cost mentioned above, each equipment upgrade will require a different amount of the ingredients needed to upgrade.
