WoW Upgrades - The item upgrades Upgrader

Upgrades provide a guaranteed boost to specific stats. Each upgrade increases the level of an item upgrader mod by 3. A random additional substat is also boosted alongside each upgrade.

The upgraded gear typically has a greater value for trade, unless it has inherently low requirements (like the FB shield of the sorc) or has a high stat variation (like eth titan weapons). Upgrades aren't as valuable for the latter due to the need to roll an exact version.

The item upgrader allows players to upgrade their gear by transferring the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of weapon or armor. Upgrades are items that can be used to upgrade tools, armor, weapon and accessory upgrades. They can be purchased by players from NPCs that sell upgrades to items in exchange for various currencies, and can also be found in random treasure lists.
