Path of Exile item upgrader mod Upgrades

Item upgrade upgrades are a common and important way to improve the performance of a variety of items in Path of Exile. They can cause additional damage, AD or even affixes.

Rare-grade equipment is usually superior to modernized Common or Magic gear because of their high requirements.

Armor

Armor upgrades are a type of upgrade that can be applied to weapon and armor items. They increase the effectiveness of the item that they're attached to. Armor upgrades are found in the world of the game and can be purchased from Blacksmiths at any bonfire. They can also be salvaged using a professional or higher salvage kits to recover upgrade components from items.

The amount of damage a piece of armor or weapon is able to absorb is dependent on the degree of upgrades. The ability to absorb damage of a piece armor will increase when it's upgraded to its maximum upgrade level. It's important to remember that this will increase the weight of the armor, therefore it must be heavier.

There are a few different kinds of armor upgrades available in the game, and each one has distinct effects. Some upgrades give armor an additional number of health points while others make it more powerful and lighter. The kind of armor upgrade an item can receive will be identified by the name of the upgrade as illustrated in the table below.

Some of the upgrades are also magic or a hybrid of technology and magic, which is indicated by a "Magic" or "Hybrid" entry in the table below. Certain upgrades require charges in order to be used. These are indicated as "Charges" entries in the table. The charges for these upgrades are updated daily or never expire dependent on the upgrade.

The cheapest way to upgrade armor is with Iron Ore, which can be obtained by exploring the environment and looting small loot chests. Titanium is more expensive, however, it is available from the smelters in Orgrimmar and Stormwind City. Certain upgrades, such as the Reforge or the Hot Potato Books can only be applied to high-level armor pieces. These upgrades can provide significant improvement in stats and are a worthwhile investment, especially for 1-handed weapons.

The process of upgrading an armor piece to the highest upgrade level will dramatically increase its defense values however, the user must be aware that putting on weight can drastically decrease its speed and agility. For this reason, it is typically not recommended to upgrade the majority of armor pieces beyond +9, because the increase in defense is usually not worth the extra weight and power cost of the upgrades required.

Weapons

Weapon upgrades allow players to increase the effectiveness of certain aspects of a weapon. Upgrades can increase the accuracy of a rifle, or the damage caused by shotgun shells. Certain firearms have upgrades to improve their inherent capabilities. They include Frictionless Materials (improves stability and decreases the chance of overheating of the weapon) and Kinetic Coils (increases projectile acceleration for more damage).

Most upgrades for weapons require one of three Power Dices, a different amount of Minerals and Erons, and a whetblade for applying. These can be obtained by completing Side Quests, taking out a certain number of bosses or monsters, or through the Weapon Upgrade NPC in Central Flarine.

To upgrade a weapon, equipment set piece, or Whetblade You must go to the NPC [Armor] Boboko located in Central Flarine, and pay her an upgrade fee that is a certain amount of bars. The higher the upgrade level, the higher the number of bars are required to complete it. If you have multiple upgrade materials the cost of upgrading will be less.

In Chapter 2: Season 5, the ways to upgrade your weapon and equipment sets was a bit different. Previously you could go to an Upgrade Bench and pay for a specific amount of Bars to upgrade your equipment or weapon to an increased level of rarity. You could continue doing this until you reached a maximum upgrade level for the weapon or equipment, after which the upgrades would reset.

You can still do this but the process is high on RNG and Item upgrade low on agency. Instead, you're better off going to the stores and purchasing equipment that has low upgrade levels but excellent base scores and stat distributions. They will also be able to give you the highest tier benefits and blessings.

Most players will want to prioritize weapon upgrades for the weapons they are most likely to use to make sure they are able to level up faster. In addition to these players, they should also consider upgrading the weapons favored by their teammates to make them more powerful as well. Shepard for instance should upgrade his M92F so that he can unlock the Beretta M93R. This will increase the effectiveness of the weapon when accompanied by biotic specialists like Grunt and Tali.

Jewels

Jewels are placed in the armor's sockets and weapons, increasing the power of a character and bringing about secondary effects. They can be created through a process called jewelry crafting, which is where you combine a gem with several ingredients at a table for jewelry. The higher the quality of the gem, the greater the secondary effect. These reagents can be found around the world through Treasure Goblins, World Bosses and occasionally by salvaging Legendary gear. You can also buy them from The Jeweler in exchange for Scattered Prisms and gold.

The Jeweler can improve the quality of gemstones in stages ranging from Crude up to Royal. The boosts to stats will differ according to the tier that the jewel is in when it is inserted into weapons, jewelry, or other gear.

All levels of jewels can be crafted at the Jeweler, with the exception of the rare and legendary gems that require you to be at a sufficient level to be able to get the privilege of having them. Jewels can be replaced with another jewel without destroying the original. However, you can only replace a jewel in an equipment piece only once.

The use of more jewels in a movement will make it feel smoother and is usually performed to enhance the aesthetics of the movement. In addition to improving performance, the jewels create an outer layer that is more durable than metal, so repeated friction with pivots doesn't cause harm as easily.

In addition to the above upgrades, the player can also get glyphs for item upgrade their shields and weapons from a Glyphmaster. These glyphs provide a small boost in power and can be exchanged, however they are not guaranteed to show up as loot. Glyphs are like jewelry and can be upgraded by the Jeweler in exchange for gold and Scattered Crystals. Glyphs can also be removed from the inventory, and they are returned to the inventory. Other upgrade components, such as traits and aegis, aren't swappable and are only recoverable by using an Upgrade Extractor, or by salvaging them using a Black Lion Salvage Kit or an Ascended Salvage Tool.

Trinkets

Trinkets are a great way to give your character a variety of small, but beneficial benefits. You can find them in the start-up area as rewards for personal stories or loot. They are also available through vendors and after the completion of road interactions. They can also be crafted by jewelers and later found or purchased from the Trading Post.

The first trinkets a player can unlock is the cloak, which gives a small, but valuable boost in speed of movement and evasion. The player will then be able to acquire rings, amulets and necklaces in a similar fashion similar to how they obtained weapons and armor. Every piece of equipment has an upgrade slot which can be universal or jewel. Universal upgrades offer fewer benefits and can be put into any kind of equipment however, jewelry cannot be replaced or upgraded, and only works with specific types of trinkets.

These trinkets can also grant buffs and skills that are active when the hero is not in combat. This enables the hero to perform better when they are not active, and can also help fill in the void of a strong team or the absence of any talent tree slots which would normally be filled with hero's ideal stats.

A good guideline for trinket upgrades is to prioritize BiS (Best-in-Slot) items that you will not replace soon, followed by any items with desirable stats but less important than the iLevel of the item upgrader mod to be upgraded. This is especially true if you want to upgrade multiple statistics on an item upgrader. It is better to upgrade one important stat instead of two subpar ones.

At the beginning of the game players who are in the jungle will typically want to upgrade their trinket to a red in the middle and top players will usually opt for a green or pink ward (depending on the game's matchup). These choices will have a significant impact on the hero's ability to control his map.

In addition to the items listed above, players can discover a variety of other trinkets in the game in the form of awards and trophies. They can be earned by completing certain milestones in the story, like completing a chapter's main quest or destroying a boss.
