World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading

Item upgrading allows players to increase an item level upgrade's gear score up to 700 and also add an additional perk. Items can be upgraded by keeping them in inventory and heading to the kiln.

Certain items are worth upgrading due to their unique stats. (For example an excellently broken point armor that is rolled can be used in melee PvP). Other items, like weapons aren't changed much after an upgrade and therefore aren't worth the cost.

Weapons

Weapons can be upgraded to improve their numeric stats such as the chance to crit, attack damage PvE and PvP damage. They also have an unchanging bonus that increases their damage per second. Some weapons also have a fixed bonus that is activated when three or more identical weapons are placed in a unit. This bonus could exceed the damage a weapon upgrade can do on its own.

The cost of upgrading a weapon is contingent on its rarity and level. For instance, an upgrade to a +2 weapon requires two standard Smithing Stones while a+3 requires four. The number of stones needed to upgrade a weapon will continue to increase until it is required to use the higher level of Smithing Stones, at which the amount will be reset to one.

Upgrades to weapons can also alter the stats of their base. This is usually a positive thing, but it can also have negative effects. Upgrades can render items inaccessible, unless you're extremely lucky.

Armor items can also be upgraded to boost their performance. For example, if you upgrade chests or helms it will boost its base defense while gloves and belts will enhance their required strength and dexterity. Armor has a rerolling feature for its Enhanced Defense percent. This means that it may reduce its value.

The upgrade template of a weapon will display the new stats it will gain after upgrading, along with the values of these stats. This means that the weapon will gain 3% attack damage if it is upgraded from an 8 attack damage sword to an 11 attack damage sword. However the 3% does not mean that it will hit 3 times less often because it's an absolute number.

A weapon can also be rerolled by pressing the green button that has circling arrows in the item menu. This will roll an Best item upgrade and alter its stats but not reset the weapon's levels, or tie it to the account status.

Armor

A few armor upgrades can make all the difference to your survival. Certain sets offer massive improvements in the resistance to curses, poisons fire, magic, and other. This makes it easier to get through difficult terrains. The more defense your character has the more value you can get from each point of health, so it's important to upgrade your armor as much as possible.

You can upgrade your armor by visiting any of the Great Fairy Fountains. There are four fountains in all each of which requires you to complete a special side-quest involving the Stable Trotters musical troupe. Once you've completed the main quest, and the corresponding fountains, you'll have the option of talking to any Great Fairy in order to unlock the menu for upgrading armor.

Each piece of armor can be upgraded to three levels, and the amount of materials and Rupees required for each level will differ. It is possible to use anything from three Red Chuchu jellies and 10 Rupees to upgrade the first armor piece, and between five Rubies or 10 Fire-Breath Horns to upgrade the next one. For example the Champion Leathers can be upgraded to +5 defense, which allows you to keep up with a good-sized group of enemies in the majority of cold environments and the Snowquill Headdress can be upgraded up to +20 defense, providing the protection needed to survive a full on raid with a few friends.

You can't upgrade your armor the same as weapons. If you're playing as a Warrior then you should concentrate on upgrading your armor for physical power or the power of spells. It's also worthwhile to save your armor upgrades for armor you'll wear at the end of the game, such as the Ring of Lightning and Spectral Shield or the helmet you'll wear to fight the final boss and the Monter Parts Merchant's mask.

By giving the jeweler 10 Twinkling Titanite in Gerudo Town in Gerudo Town, you can unlock some perks on your armor. Generally speaking, you'll want to save these upgrades for the weapon you'll be using to win the game such as the Longsword, Battleaxe or Warhammer, but it can be useful to have a few upgrades to your chest armor and helmets to let you stealthy battle some monsters.

Potions

Potions are substances in bottles that, if consumed, give the player the illusion of status for a few minutes. There are five different types of potions, each with a specific set of effects and durations. Certain potions can be upgraded, enhancing their effectiveness. Additionally the effects of certain potions can be enhanced by adding redstone or glowstone dust to them.

Upgrades to potion require a certain amount XP. This can be obtained through crafting them on a crafting table or by placing them in the Alchemist chest. The upgrade price varies depending on the type of potion used and the item upgrader mod's rarity and Mark Level.

To upgrade a potion, right-click on it in your inventory and choose the "Upgrade" option from the menu. This will open a GUI which allows you to select the potions that you wish to upgrade, and the amount of experience they'll provide when upgraded. You can upgrade potions in batches of up to five at once, and their XP will be added to the total XP you currently have.

Once a potion has been upgraded, it will not degrade until you use it again, or break the bottle it is stored in. Clicking on the potion in your inventory will allow you to change the name of the potion.

There were some changes to potion mechanics in version 1.7.2. Splash potions, for example, now have a duration zero, not the 22.5 seconds displayed on the hover display of the item. The potion table can now be made using four Wood Planks and two Glass. It can be used in both Survival and Bedrock. In contrast to the Java Edition, Bedrock edition potions cannot be combined in cauldrons. Also, putting a potion on a full cauldron drains the liquid and replenishes the bottle.

In addition, there are simmering potions made using dragon breath and splash potions. Redstone is also added to lingering potions to extend their effect. The table of potions has been rearranged to appear more like the Java Edition. New potions are also added, like the potion of leaping and decomposition.

Trinkets

A trinket could be an ornament that is small and inexpensive or piece jewelry. It could be a reference to an object or ornament that serves a purpose but is not particularly significant, such as a trinket. In some cultures, a trinket is a way to express affection or friendship between family members.

Trinkets can be upgraded by players as well as weapons and armor, as well as potions. These can be upgraded by going to an upgrade vendor and paying the appropriate currency. Unlike other item upgrades trinkets, trinkets can be exchanged at will without losing their stats.

Upgrade vendors can be found at the capitals of every zone, and in some instances in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets are bought with tokens, gold or fragments of a rare trinket.

Upgrades are a cost-effective alternative to buying a new trinket. It is possible to upgrade a player for less than 12 tokens. The new trinket will have the same base ilvl as previous one, and will include an additional 1% upgrade bonus.

Trinkets can be upgraded when they are no longer useful which allows a player to increase their power and value over time. They can be traded between players and Item upgrading are a viable alternative to gold.

In general players should upgrade their top-priority items first. This means that the most-important slot items for each class are upgraded first, followed by their secondary gear and other pieces of equipment they won't replace in the near future (such as an earring or a cloak). Players should also consider their class's preferred stats when selecting which items to upgrade. For example If Haste and Crit are the two most important stats for tanks, they should prioritize upgrading their chest, helm shoulders, belt, and chest.

Trinkets can be upgraded to a higher ilvl after they are no longer useful and the new trinket can be upgraded to have an additional upgrade bonus of 1. However, a re-upgrade will cause the trinket to be destroyed until it is salvaged using a Black Lion Salvage Kit or an alternative salvage tool that is higher-end. Upgrades to trinkets are more expensive than other upgrades but still less expensive than buying an entirely new trinket.
