Guild Wars 2 Item Upgrade

The process of upgrading an item, often called "upping," improves an item's stats. Each upgrade increment increases a stat linearly.

Players can recycle six items at one time to gauge the upgraded component of each item. The cost of recycling items increases according to their rarity and level.

Upgrade components

In Guild Wars 2, an upgrade to an item is a method to boost the stats of your weapons and armor. This can be accomplished by many different methods, including using upgrade components as well as increasing an item's mark level or rarity. A lot of items can be reforged in order to increase their value.

Upgradeable items are available all over the game, both in the world and as rewards for missions. Players can also craft them. Upgrade components are the main way to upgrade equipment. These are items that can be inserted into equipment. Most equipment has slots that can be upgraded and some require a specific level of upgrade. To upgrade an item, click it in your inventory and open the Upgrade window. The preview will be displayed on the right side of the screen. It will show the expected statistics after the upgrade. The Upgrade button at the bottom will read Blocked if you do not have enough of or.

The number of upgrade components required for a particular item is displayed in the upper-right corner of the Upgrade window. The cost of upgrading increases depending on the upgrade level and rarity, but can be reduced using many different methods, such as buying upgrades from a vendor or trading them to other players.

Almost all weapons can be upgraded with the use of a prefix upgrade for example, an insignia or rune, and a lot of them are upgraded by an upgrade suffix. These upgrades change the name of the Best item upgrader to add an adjective, such as "Radiant" or "Minor Vigor. There are some exceptions, however. the noninscribable wands, shields and foci from Prophecies and Factions campaigns, which cannot be upgraded with any mods at all.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to convey visual information. They animate in order to grab the attention of the viewer and spark curiosity. The glyphs' animation mimics body language, which makes them more effective at conveying the message across linguistic barriers. Glyphs can also trigger a feeling of familiarity in the brain, increasing retention of the message.

Each glyph can increase a stat's value by a specific amount. This is clearly displayed on the item, when you open it in the Glyph Storage. This is the maximum value that a glyph could enhance a stat by but not the amount it actually increases it by. The actual value of the glyph is determined by the quality and tier of the product you are enchanting it to.

The majority of upgrade components added to items cannot be removed or replaced without removing them, with the exception of legendary upgrades and equipment. If, however, you have a non-useful rune or glyph that hasn't yet been applied to your equipment, you can transfer it to another piece of equipment by using the Upgrade Glyphs context menu in the Glyphs panel. This will create a new Glyph Set with the selected glyph.

You can remove the glyph using a Black Lion Salvage Kit, or an Ascended Salvage tool. The item where the glyph is installed will be destroyed, however the upgraded item can be salvaged with the glyph shards.

A glyph added to an item could cause it to be unstable, and the shards that are left of that glyph will disappear from your inventory once you take it down. You can also apply the glyph on your equipment to provide a bonus. Deferred Damage, for example, can store damage and be distributed slowly to the wearer rather than all at one time. This is beneficial for those who take a lot of damage from their enemies, but do not want to be overwhelmed.

Reroll tokens

Reroll tokens are used to change the affixes on weapons and equipment. They can be obtained from various sources, such as mystery boxes, rare drops from skulled monsters or by killing bosses. Each reroll token gives the player a brand new random affix, which is usually superior to the one they had before. Reroll tokens are also a great method to reroll the stats of a weapon and can be upgraded to increase damage or other perks.

Items that have been rerolled will not appear in the upgrade menu, however they can still receive upgrades. By pressing the "upgrade button", you can recycle these rerolled items. This will change the appearance of the window for the item, and allow up to six items to be selected for recycling. The level gauge is boosted by recycling an item. The amount is determined by the item's rarity as well as its level, therefore items with higher levels are more valuable to recycle than lower level ones.

Players can also use Reroll Tokens and Star Remnants to roll rerolling Weapon Traits to upgrade units. Rerolls are based on a % chance to determine a weapon's trait. Rerolling is a fantastic way to upgrade an item. However, players must be aware of the fact that the total ilvl is reduced by the number rerolls it took to get it to the final level. This effect of lowering is most effective with ring items and Diadems, which have no other options for raising ilvls.

Some players have complained that the reroll system is too expensive. It's better to let people pay for it using money or food items which would allow them to make changes to their builds without having to spend too much time. However, paid rerolls are not something that the developers would like to incorporate at this point in the game's development. Instead, they plan to include an option to change the race in the future.

Leveling

There are a variety of ways to level up an upgrade to an item. The first is to increase the amount of upgrade which boosts the value of upgrading any stat. The second is to boost the effect of upgrading that increases the healing or damage of a specific stat. Additionally there is the possibility to upgrade the base item to an upgrade type. After this the new item will keep its iLevel but it will benefit from the upgrade effects of the upgraded type of item.

When you upgrade items it is essential to remember that upgrades are not guaranteed. Most of the time, a better roll will result from glyphs, however there are also chances for greater or special rolls. Additionally the iLevel of the upgrade will be determined by the item type which means that if you upgrade a rare or unique item to an exceptional item upgrading type you could get an increased iLevel.
