WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades provide a guaranteed boost to certain stats. Each upgrade boosts the level of the item by +3. Each upgrade also increases a random substat.

The upgraded gear is usually more valuable, unless it is not required by nature (like FB sorc shields) or has a large variance in stats (like Eth Titan weapons). The latter are less valuable from upgrading due to the need to roll for a perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader lets players upgrade their gear by transferring the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of weapon or armor. However, the item that is used to upgrade will remain in use for a long time and will not be able to be used again. Upgrades can be used to create enchantments.

The upgrader can be found in every major city, and can be accessed anytime to upgrade your equipment. It is recommended that you visit the upgrader once every couple of weeks to keep your equipment up to date.

The cost of upgrades will be based on the current level of the gear being upgraded but they will always be cheaper than purchasing new equipment from other sources. Upgrades like upgrading a Benthic chest up to 385 ilvl will cost you 20 recycle points. A similar item will cost you 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that can be used to upgrade weapons, armor, tools and accessory upgrades. They are purchased by players through item upgrader NPCs in exchange for different currencies, and may also be found in random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade can be used on any weapon, tool or armor. The button will show the item upgrading's next upgrade level if there are enough materials.

Upgrade costs vary depending on the item level upgrade, via bbs.lingshangkaihua.com, slot, and the current level of the item. For example weapons are more expensive than gloves, bracers or bracers. Each upgrade cost 15 Flightstones and a number of crests, with some upgrades offering discounts to reduce the cost of the Flightstones or crests that are used. Once an item is upgraded to a certain level, it can be downgraded and sold to the upgrader for a lower price.

Upgraders for items can be found at many locations, including the main island, as well as a few outposts. The NPCs offer an upgrade coupon and a possibility of obtaining an entirely new recipe. The use of these currencies isn't too complicated however, the system will introduce a few changes to the overall upgrade process. Once a piece of gear attains the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Item level Upgrade Adventurer) it is no longer required to purchase Flightstones. This change allows players to upgrade their gear to the highest possible ilvl on all of their characters rather than relying on seasonal loot.

It's also important to use crests with care, since they have only one purpose. For instance, it's a good idea make use of all your Whelpling-rank crests on the Best item upgrader equipment you have and then keep Drake and Wyrm crests for the next round of upgrades you're planning on making. This is particularly relevant for items like rings and trinkets that occupy multiple slots. The discount on the account will only apply when all slots on the character are filled with top-quality equipment.
