World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can boost the value of armors, weapons and rings. They also boost extra bonuses such as damage from PvE and crit chance.

For example a weapon that has the upgrade template that ends in % will gain 3% attack damage every time it upgrades (relative to its previous value).

The cost of upgrading an item is determined by the item's level. The cost increases as the item level increases.

Components

Upgrade components are items that can be inserted into weapons, armor, and trinkets to provide an extra stat boost or impact while they're being used. These can be obtained by making crafts, buying from vendors, trading with other players, or looting. Certain upgrades come with special cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can be placed in equipment with a slot for them. The item must have been at a minimum upgraded to blue level in order for the component to be applied. Upgrade components, unlike other modifications, can only be applied once. They are not able to be replaced or applied several times. Infusions and enrichments are a particular type of upgrade component used for non-amulet ascended and legendary equipment, as well as some of the back items that are not ascending. Infusions and enrichments can be retrieved by salvaging gear from the ascended, or by completing an elite mission in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.

A suffix or prefix can be added to an upgrade, thereby changing the name of the item upgrader it's used on (for example, 'Canthan Armor Insignia,' becomes Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Some upgrades increase an item's Mark Level, or Rarity, allowing players to create stronger versions of that equipment using fewer Upgrade Crystals than is required to achieve the same level of upgrade through normal methods.

A boost upgrade can alter the defense or attack characteristics of a weapon or armor. Once the player has completed the cutscene and defeated Crazed Mechanist the upgrades can be made at the Portative Forging Station. These upgrades can be obtained by purchasing them from the cash shop or by obtaining them from enemies when upgrading other equipment.

The player is able to have up to five boost upgrades at a time. Each upgrade increases the probability that a higher-tier version of the Best item upgrade will drop in the next reset. This gives the player an incentive to keep upgrading their gear even if they're not sure of how much they'll increase after a future reset.

The boost upgrade may be successful or item upgrader mod not, the process may be costly, and there is a high chance that the item could be obsolete or even break when it fails; a failed upgrade will cause the destruction of Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder, as well as the upgraded item. This is alleviated by the availability cash shop items that can double or even eliminate possibility of failure, and some upgrades that offer the benefit of being reinserted into an item.

Glyphs

Glyphs are upgrade elements which can be put in special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs can boost the performance of nodes within a radius, and include any pre-existing affixes. Glyphs are upgraded in various ways, and we recommend upgrading them to 15 levels as soon as you can.

You'll often see in the endgame that placing Glyphs is the most effective way to upgrade your gear. They are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded straight to level 15 and offer an enormous boost to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to reach higher nodes faster.

Glyphs, the only upgrade component that can be removed without restriction and then replaced again are the most popular. Only legendary equipment can be salvaged and rebuilt with a Black Lion Salvage Kit.

Each Glyph has a particular range of values it can improve a stat by. The value is shown when you choose the Glyph in your inventory. You can choose to replace it with a different Glyph with the same rank or a higher rank, which will boost the overall value of the glyph.

Glyphs are available in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of an Gem Store bundle or purchase, with certain unlimited-use tools and also during Faction Crypt Raids. Each Faction Crypt could drop one of these Glyphs. There are some rare glyphs which you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.

Once you have obtained the desired Glyphs, you will have to put them on your gear. Each Glyph unlocks a unique bonus that boosts the stats of a specific set of nodes that are within a radius of the Glyph. It could be +40 for one of your primary stats or +25 for two of your secondary stats depending on the Glyph.

Glyphs will boost all nodes that are connected to them, therefore it is recommended to place Glyphs in key locations on the Graph. This will maximize the impact. For instance, a Druid should aim to place their Glyphs near their primary damage points, however, you may also want to be sure to place them near the most critical damage nodes as well.

Leveling

The upgrade system of items allows players to boost the stats of specific items by adding upgraded components. This is also known as "upping". Each upgradeable item is assigned an amount that determines the final statistics. Upgraded items can be upgraded up to a maximum level of 385. Each level requires a different number of components and the costs for upgrading increase as the item is advanced in level.

Some upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient is obtained by completing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be bought from NPCs, item upgrader Mod or on the upgrade tab of the crafting table. Each completed Upgrade Recipe yields a number of Technology Points. These points can be used to upgrade the Item upgrader Mod. Once enough points have been earned, the upgrade will be claimed and any additional bonuses will be added to the item.

When a player upgrades an item to a higher level, the original item is replaced with a different item of the same type. This means that the same piece of armor will be transformed into an weapon or shield once upgraded. The new item also has its own bonus. This could be a problem in that it could make the item more expensive if you do not need it.

If the player has enough tokens they can reroll item upgrades. The item will be replaced by an entirely new item that has a base of level 1 and completely different bonuses. This is a good idea but it shouldn't be done often as it could waste resources.

Some upgrades can increase their value and allow players to personalize their equipment. An excellent example is Dolphin's Gift, which gives an increase in power when a player repeatedly enters and exits water (or does not swim as dolphins). It is possible to upgrade it several times, each time increasing the maximum roll by 10 points. This item can be very valuable in PvP, as the Best item upgrader version of it could be worth between 20 and 50x its value without being upgraded.

Requirements

The ability to upgrade items allows players to boost the quality of their equippable gear--armor, weapons and trinkets that are above ilvl 385 by offering the appropriate items and currency to an NPC that upgrades items. Upgrades to armor set pieces boost the defense of the base set and upgrades to weapon items boost their base damage as well as the required strength and dexterity.

All items can be upgraded up to five times except for hero equipment, which can be upgraded eight times. Every each time you upgrade an item, it has the chance to fail. The failure rate increases the farther you go beyond the maximum amount of upgrades. Failures will result in the item reverting to its initial condition, which requires the user to spend more materials than they would had they stopped upgrading at the highest number of upgrades.

If an item is not able to upgrade, the amount of accumulated experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. In addition the item will be deducted any bonus it earned such as crit chance, attack damage, as well as any other effects that are associated with that effect (for example, increased heal over time or the speed of reloading). The player will be able to use their weapon or armor even after the failure.

When an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied in order from the lowest to the highest. This means that if a weapon gains an increase in its crit chance it will be applied prior to any increase in attack damage. Slots is a brand new attribute that was added to item definitions. The value is recalculated each time an upgrade occurs.

The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item is based on the rarity rating and number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading non-premium equipment is equal to its base value. For example an item upgrader mod that is commonplace could have five upgrades at a cost. 25600 Technology Points 4x Quality Improvement Opportunity. Hero grade items have a lower cost per upgrade.

Premium items may have different upgrade requirements than regular gear. For example they may require fewer sowels, but more minerals and orons. The player will still need to carry every piece of gear they wish to upgrade to NPC [ArmorBoboko. Boboko located in Central Flarine. In addition to the upgrade costs mentioned above, each upgrade will require the use of different upgrade ingredients.
