Guild Wars 2 Item Upgrade

The statistics of an item are enhanced by upgrading it, which is also known as "upping". Each upgrade increment gives an increase in linearity of any stat.

Players can recycle six items at a time to gain a gauge for each item's upgraded component. The cost of recycling items scales depending on their rarity and level.

Upgrade components

An upgrade for an item in Guild Wars 2 is a process that can boost the effectiveness of your weapons and armor. This can be done through a number of means, including the use of upgrade components and also increasing an item upgrader's mark level or rarity. A lot of items can be reforged to boost their value.

There are items that can be upgraded throughout the game. They are available all over all over the world and are rewards for missions. They can also be made by players. The primary method to upgrade gear is through the use of upgrade components which are items that can be inserted into equipment. The amount of upgrade components needed for a specific Best item upgrade is displayed in the upper-right corner of the Upgrade window. The cost of upgrading increases as the level and rarity of the item. However, you can reduce the cost of upgrades by purchasing them from a vendor or trading them with other players.

Nearly all weapons can be upgraded using a prefix upgrade, such as an insignia or rune. Many are upgraded by suffix upgrades. These upgrades include an adjective in the item's name like "Radiant" or "Minor Vigor".

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to convey information via visuals. They are animated to grab the attention of the viewer and stimulate curiosity in the brain. Glyphs also create a sense of familiarity in the brain, increasing retention of the message.

Each glyph can increase the value of a stat by a certain range. This is displayed on the item, when you open it in the Glyph Storage. This isn't the actual amount at which glyphs can improve a stat, but the maximum amount by which it is able to do so. The actual value of the glyph is determined by the tier and quality of the item you're creating it for.

Most upgrade components inserted into items are not able to be repaired or replaced without dismantling the gear in question, except for legendary equipment and upgrades. If, however, you have a rune or glyph that hasn't yet been applied to your equipment, you can transfer it to a different piece gear by using the upgrade Glyphs context menu on the Glyphs panel. This will create an entirely new Glyph Set with the selected glyph.

If you want to remove a glyph from a piece of you must salvage it using the help of a Black Lion Salvage Kit or Ascended Salvage Tool. The item on which the glyph is installed will be destroyed, however the upgraded item can be salvaged by removing the glyph fragments.

When you remove an item after putting a glyph on it, the shards of that glyph will disappear. You can also add an inscription to your equipment to make it more valuable. Rerolled items can be recycled by pressing the "upgrade" button which alters the appearance of the window and allows up to six items to recycle. The level gauge is boosted by recycling an item. This amount is determined by the item's rarity as well as its own level, so higher-level items are more valuable to recycle than lower-level ones.

Leveling
