Guild Wars 2 Item Upgrade

The stats of an item are enhanced by upgrading it, also known as "upping". Each upgrade increment increases the stats linearly.

Players can recycle six items at once to gain a gauge for the upgraded component of each item. The cost of recycling items increases depending on their rarity and level.

Upgrade components

In Guild Wars 2, an upgrade to an item is a method to increase the stats on your weapons and armor. This can be achieved through a variety of methods, including by using upgrade Item components or increasing the rarity or mark level. Many items can also be reforged to boost their value.

You can find upgradeable items throughout the game. They are available in all over the world and are rewards for missions. They can also be created by players. Upgrade components are the primary method to upgrade equipment. These are items that slot into equipment. The majority of equipment comes with upgrade slots, and most require a certain level of upgrade. Certain upgrade components provide specific bonuses while others provide an overall bonus.

There are many types of upgrade elements in the game, such as universal upgrades, inscriptions and jewels. Universal upgrades, such as gems and enchantments, are able to be put in any type of equipment and upgrade item provide smaller bonuses than those that are equipment-type specific to the type of equipment. To upgrade an item, simply select it in your inventory and open the Upgrade window. The preview will appear on the right hand side of the screen. It will show the expected stats following the upgrade. The Upgrade button at the bottom will be labeled as Blocked if you don't have enough of either.

The upper-right corner displays the amount of upgrade components required to create an item. The cost of upgrading increases with the level and rarity of the item increases. However you can cut down on the cost by purchasing upgrades from a seller or trading them with other players.

The majority of weapons can be upgraded with a prefix, such as a rune, or an insignia. Other weapons can be upgraded with an suffix. These upgrades alter the name of the item to add an adjective, like "Radiant" or "Minor Vigor. The only exceptions are the non-inscribable weapons, such as foci and shields from the Prophecies and Factions campaigns, which are not upgradeable with any kinds of mods.

Glyphs

The majority of upgrade components that are slotted into items cannot be repaired or replaced without removing the gear in question, unless it is legendary equipment and upgrades. Items that have been rerolled do not appear in the item upgrade menu, however, they can still receive upgrades. If you click the "upgrade button", you can recycle the items that have been rerolled. This will change the design of the item's window and let up to six items to be chosen for recycling. The gauge of level is increased by recycling an item. This amount is determined by the item's rarity and its level, which means higher-level items are more valuable to recycle than lower level ones.

This reduction effect is most effective on Diadems and ring items that do not have any competing ilvl-raising options.

The Reroll system has been criticized by players for being expensive, and it would be more reasonable to let players pay for it in the form of money or a food item that allows players to alter their build without a lot of time and effort. The developers aren't planning to introduce paid rerolls at this point in the game's development. They plan to add an ingredient that allows players to alter their race in the near future.

Leveling
