World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading

item upgrader mod upgrading allows players to increase the gear score of an item upgrader kit to 700, and then add a final perk. Items can be upgraded by having them in inventory before heading to the kiln.

Certain items can be upp'd to benefit from their unique stats (like a perfectly rolled breakpoint armour used in melee PvP) and others, like weapons, do not vary greatly post upgrade, so they aren't worth upgrading.

Weapons

Weapons can be upgraded to boost their numeric stats such as damage to attack, crit chance, PvE and damage from PvP. Weapons also come with a flat bonus that increases the damage they deal per second. Many weapons also come with a fixed bonus that is activated when three or more identical weapons are equipped in a group. This bonus may be greater than the damage a weapon upgrade alone can cause.

The cost of upgrading a weapon is based on the quality of the weapon and its current level. For example, an +2 weapon will require two standard Smithing Stones while a+3 requires four. The number of stones needed to upgrade a weapon will continue to increase until it requires an upgrade to a higher level of Smithing Stones, at which point it will reset to one.

Upgrades to weapons will also reroll the stats of the base. While this is generally a good thing, it can have some negative consequences too. For items that only see use in a specific build (Whistant's shield for FB Sorcs, for example) upgrading them can render them useless unless you get a lucky roll.

Items of armor can also be upgraded to increase their effectiveness. For instance, if you have chests or helms, it will boost its defense base while gloves and belts will increase their strength and dexterity. Armor also has a reroll option for its Enhanced Defense percent, which means that it can sometimes roll back to a lower number.

The upgrade template of a weapon will show the new stats it will gain upon upgrading, along with the relative values of those stats. This means that the weapon will gain an attack damage of 3% if it is upgraded from an 8 attack damage sword to an 11 attack damage sword. However the 3% difference doesn't mean that it will hit for 3 times less often, since it is an absolute number.

Rerolling a weapon can be possible by pressing the green button within the item menu with the arrows that circle. This will roll an item and change its statistics, but not reset the weapon's levels or bind it to account status.

Armor

A few armor upgrades can make a huge difference in your ability to survive. Certain sets can provide MASSIVE improvements in the resistance to curses, poisons fire, magic, and other. This makes it easier to navigate difficult terrains. In general, the greater defense your character is, the more value you can get from every point of health you possess therefore it is important to upgrade your armor as much as you can.

You can upgrade your armor by visiting one of the Great Fairy Fountains. There are four fountains in all, and each requires you to complete a unique side quest that involves the Stable Trotters musical troupe. After you've completed the main side quest and have completed the fountain in question, you can then contact any Great Fairy to open up the menu for upgrading your armor.

Each piece of armor can be upgraded up to three levels, and the amount of material and Rupees required for each will vary. It is possible to use anything from three Red Chuchu jellies and 10 Rupees to upgrade your first armor piece, and anywhere between five Rubies or ten Fire-Breath Lizalfos Horns to upgrade each subsequent one. For instance the Champion Leathers could be upgraded to +5 defense, which allows you to keep up with a large group of enemies in the majority of cold conditions and the Snowquill Headdress can be upgraded up to +20 defense, Item upgrades granting the protection needed to survive an entire raid with a few of your friends.

Note that armor can't be upgraded in the same way as weapons, so you'll want to concentrate on enhancing it to increase physical power if you're Warrior or Spell Power if you're Mage. It's also worth saving your armor upgrades for the armor you'll wear at the end of the game, like the Ring of Lightning and Spectral Shield or the helmet you'll wear to fight the final boss as well as the Monter Parts merchant's mask.

You can also get some benefits to your armor by presenting the jeweler in Gerudo Town 10 Twinkling Titanite. Generally speaking, you'll want to keep these upgrades for the weapon you'll be using to win the game, such as the Longsword, Battleaxe or Warhammer, but it can be useful to have some improvements to the chest armor and helmets that allow you to stealth around some monsters.

Potions

Potions are liquids that when consumed by the player, give a temporary effect. There are five types of potions with different effects and durations. Some potions can be upgraded to increase their effectiveness. You can also enhance the effects of certain potions by adding redstone dust and glowstone dust.

Upgrades to potion require a certain amount XP. This can be earned by crafting them on a crafting table, or by storing them in the Alchemist chest. The price of upgrades is dependent on the type of potion you want to upgrade, and also on the item upgrader kit's Mark Level and Rarity.

To upgrade a potion, click right on it in your inventory and choose the "Upgrade" option from the menu. This opens a GUI where you can select the potion you want to upgrade and the amount of XP they will give you when upgraded. You can upgrade potions in batches up to five at a time and their XP will be added to the total XP you currently have.

Once a poton is upgraded, it will not degrade unless you make use of it again or break the bottle in the container it is stored. You can also rename the potion by clicking it in your inventory.

There were some changes to the mechanics of potions in version 1.7.2. For instance, splash potions now have an average duration of 0:08 (this is not the same as 22.5 seconds shown on the hover display of the item upgrader mod). The potion table can now be constructed using four Wood Planks and two Glass. This allows it to be utilized by players playing Survival and Bedrock. Unlike the Java Edition, Bedrock edition potions cannot be mixed in cauldrons. The same is true for the use of a potion in an empty cauldron. This will deplete the potion, and refill the bottle.

In addition, there are lingering potions that are made using splash and dragon breath potions. Redstone can be added to lingering potions to extend their effects. The table of potion ingredients has been rearranged to appear more like the Java Edition. New potions have also been added, such as the potion of leaping and decomposition.

Trinkets

A trinket can be an ornamental item that is small, cheap or piece jewelry. It could also refer to an ornament or object that serves a purpose, but isn't essential such as a thimble. In some traditions, trinkets are used to symbolize affection or friendship, particularly between family members.

Players can upgrade trinkets as well as weapons or armor, as well as potions. Upgrades can be made by paying the appropriate currency to an upgrade vendor. Unlike other item upgrades, trinkets can be exchanged at will without losing their status.

The upgrade vendors are located in major cities and in the capital of each zone, and in some instances in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets are offered with tokens, gold or fragments of a rare trinket.

Upgrades are a less expensive alternative to buying a brand new trinket. It can be done by the player for as little as 12 tokens. The new trinket will feature the same base ilvl as the previous one, and will come with an additional 1% upgrade bonus.

When the old Trinkets are no longer useful they can be upgraded. This allows a player to increase both their power and value over time. They can also be traded between players, making them an attractive alternative to gold.

Players should upgrade their most important items first. This usually means the Best item upgrader-in-slot items for their class, followed by their secondary items and finally, other gear items that they will not be replacing in the near future (for example, a ring or cloak). Players should also take into consideration their class's preferred stats when selecting the items to upgrade. If Haste and Crit are two of the most important stats for tank players, then they should upgrade their helm, chest and shoulders.

Trinkets can be upgraded to a higher level once they're no longer needed, and the new trinket can be upgraded to have an additional 1% upgrade bonus. A re-upgrade, however, will cause the trinket to be destroyed unless it can be salvaged with the Black Lion Salvage Kit, or a higher tier salvage tool. This makes upgrading trinkets more expensive than other upgrades, yet is still cheaper than buying an entirely new trinket.
