World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading

The item upgrade lets players boost the gear rating of an item upgrades up to 700 points and add a bonus. Items can be upgraded if they're in your inventory and you take them to the kiln.

Certain items can be upp'd to increase their stats (like a perfectly made breakpoint armour that can be rolled to use in melee PvP) while others like weapons do not vary greatly post upgrade, so they aren't worth upgrading.

Weapons

Weapons can be upgraded to improve their numeric stats such as the chance to crit, attack damage as well as PvE and PvP damage. Weapons come with a flat rate bonus that increases damage per second. In addition some weapons come with a set bonus that activates when three or more of the same weapon are equipped on a unit. In some instances, this bonus could add up to more than the amount of damage a weapon upgrades by itself.

The cost of upgrading a weapon is based on the nature of the weapon as well as its current level. For instance, a +2 weapon will require two regular Smithing Stones to upgrade while the +3 model requires four. The number of stones needed to upgrade a weapon will increase until it needs an upgrade to a higher level of Smithing Stones. At that point, it will reset back to one.

Upgrades to weapons will also change the stats of their base. While this is usually beneficial, it can have some negative consequences as well. Upgrades can render items inaccessible, unless you're very lucky.

Armor items can be upgraded to increase their performance. This will increase the base defense of a chest or helm, while belts and gloves will increase their required strength and Item Upgrades agility. Armor also offers the option of rerolling its Enhanced Defense percentage, which means that it can sometimes change its roll to a lower value.

The upgrade template for a weapon displays the new stats it will gain when upgraded and their relative values. This means that a weapon will gain an attack damage of 3% if it is upgraded from an 8 attack damage sword to an 11 attack damage sword. The 3% difference does not mean that the weapon will be hit 3 times less, as it is an absolute number.

Rerolling a weapon can be possible by pressing the green button within the item level upgrade menu, using the arrows that are circling. This will roll the Best item upgrader and change its stats, but it won't reset the weapon's level or tie it to the account status.

Armor

A few armor upgrades can make a huge difference in your ability to survive. Certain sets offer massive increases in poison or curse, fire or magic resistance, making the journey through difficult terrain a breeze. In general, the greater defense your character has the more value you can get from every point of health you have, so it's important to improve your armor as much as you can.

You can upgrade your armor by visiting one of the Great Fairy Fountains. There are four of them each of which requires you to complete a unique side quest that involves the Stable Trotters musical troupe. After you've completed the main quest, and the corresponding fountains, you'll have the option of talking to any Great Fairy in order to unlock the armor upgrade menu.

The amount of materials needed to upgrade each piece of armor will differ. In general, you're looking at anything from three to ten Red Chuchu Jellies and ten Rupees for the initial upgrade, and then anywhere from five Rubies and 10 Fire-Breath Lizalfos Horns for each subsequent one. The Champion Leathers, as an example, can be upgraded to a 5 defense rating, which will allow you to remain competitive in frigid conditions with a large number of foes. The Snowquill Headdress, on the other is able to be upgraded to +20 defense so that you're able to survive a battle with friends.

It's important to note that armor cannot be upgraded in the same way as weapons, so you'll want to work on upgrading it to gain physical strength if you're a Warrior or Spell Power when you're Mage. Potion upgrades cost a certain amount of XP. These can be earned by making them on a crafting table or in the Alchemist's chest. The cost of upgrading varies based on the type of potion and the item's rarity as well as Mark Level.

To upgrade a potion to the next level, right-click on it in your inventory and choose the "Upgrade" option from the menu. This will open a GUI in which you can select the potion you want to upgrade and the amount of XP they'll yield when upgraded. Upgrades to potions can be made in batches of up to five at a time, and the XP they provide will be added to your current XP count.

Once a potion is upgraded, it won't degrade until you use it again or break the bottle it's stored in. You can also change the name of the potion by clicking it in your inventory.

There were a few updates to the mechanics of potions in version 1.7.2. A trinket is a small, inexpensive ornament or piece of jewelry. It could be a reference to an object or ornament that serves a purpose, but is not particularly important, such as a thimble. In some cultures, a trinket can be used to express friendship or affection between family members.

In addition to armor, weapons and potions, players are able to upgrade their trinkets. Upgrades can be made by paying the appropriate currency to an upgrade vendor. Unlike other item upgrades trinkets are able to be swapped out at will without losing their status.

The upgrade vendors are found in major cities and the capital of each zone, as well as in some instances in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets are available with tokens, gold or fragments of rare trinkets.

Upgrades are a cost-effective alternative to purchasing a new trinket. It can be done by a player for just 12 tokens. The new trinket will come with the same base ilvl of the previous one, and will include an additional 1% upgrade bonus.

When the old Trinkets are no longer usable they can be upgraded. This allows players to increase their power and value with time. They can be traded among players which makes them a good alternative to gold.

Players should upgrade their most important items first. This means that the top-in slot items for each class are first upgraded then their secondary gear and finally other pieces of equipment they will not replace anytime soon (such as a ring or an cloak). When deciding on which items to upgrade, players must also take into account the preferred statistics of their class. For example, if Haste and Crit are the two most important stats for tankers it is recommended that they upgrade their chest, helm shoulders, belt, and helm.

When they are no longer useful, trinkets can be upgraded to a higher level. The upgraded trinket will give you an additional 1% bonus. However, a re-upgrade can destroy the old trinket, unless it is salvaged using the Black Lion Salvage Kit or Item Upgrades a higher-tier salvage tool. Upgrades to trinkets can be more expensive than other upgrades, but still less expensive than buying a new one.
