WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades will give you a boost to specific stats. Each upgrade boosts the level of the Item Upgrader kit by +3. Each upgrade also increases a random substat.

Upgraded gear is generally more valuable, unless it is not required by nature (like FB sorc shields) or has a large variance in stats (like the eth Titan weapons). Upgrades aren't as important for those with lower requirements due to the need to roll an exact version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader lets players upgrade their gear by transferring the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of weapon or armor. However, the item used to upgrade will be consumed for the duration of time and can't be used again. Upgrades can be applied to enchantments.

You can upgrade your gear at any time by visiting the upgrader in any major city. It is recommended that you visit the upgrader every couple of weeks to ensure that your equipment is up to date.

The cost of upgrading will depend on the current item level of the gear being upgraded, but will always be cheaper than purchasing new gear from other sources. For example upgrading a chest piece from Benthic to ilvl 385 will cost 20 recycle points, purchasing a similar piece from another player will cost 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that can be used for weapons, armor, tools, and accessory upgrades. They can be purchased by players through NPCs who sell upgrades for items in exchange for a variety of currencies, and can also be found in random treasure lists. Once an upgrade is purchased it can be used on any weapon or tool using a The button will show the preview of an item upgrade's next level of upgrade, in the event that there are enough materials.

The upgrade cost depends on the item slot and current item level and the weapon's price is higher than gloves or bracers for example. Each upgrade costs 15 Flightstones plus a set number of crests. Some upgrades offer a discount on the Flightstones. Once an item is upgraded to a certain degree it is able to be degraded and returned to the upgrader for a lesser amount of both currency types.

This change is designed to allow players to upgrade their equipment to the highest possible ilvl on all their characters, instead of relying on seasonal loot.

It's also crucial to choose crests in a wise manner, as they have only one purpose. It is recommended to use your Whelpling-rank Crests on the Best item upgrader gear you can find, Item upgrader kit and save Drake and Wyrm Crests for the next set of upgrades. This is particularly relevant for items like trinkets and rings that take up several slots. The account-wide discount will only be applicable if all slots on the character are filled with high-quality gear.
