Prior to each mopping session the docking station on the S1 automatically empties its dustbin and refills the water tank with clean filtered ozonated water. The dock also adds a cleaning solution into the water to ensure deep cleaning. The S1's tank of water holds enough for about twelve cleaning sessions before it needs to be empty, but this can vary based on how much you use the mop.

Like all 2-in-1 robots the S1 requires regular maintenance to ensure it is operating efficiently. You'll need to periodically rinse out the tank that has been contaminated to keep it from becoming clogged. You will also need to clean your sensor and swivel wheel frequently to avoid them getting clogged up with dust or dirt. Overall, the S1 requires less maintenance than other combos.
