It is dependent on disposable wet wipes that don't adhere very well and cannot handle dried-on debris. The Q5 does come with an auto-emptying dock, however. 2. IRobot Roomba

The iRobot Roomba X30 packs impressive mopping and vacuuming into an elegant, compact package. Its agile navigation and intelligent cleaning maps make it easy to clean and effective at dealing with larger particles such as pet hair. It also supports voice commands via Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. It can even clean the floor after it vacuums this feature, which hasn't been seen in other robot vacuum/mop combinations.

3. IRobot Roomba X40

The robot vacuum and mop combination features a sleek, circular design that appears more like a regular Roomba model than the boxy models of the rivals. It is one of our most appealing looking robot vacuums. The latest model from iRobot is among the most intelligent, with advanced features including Enhanced Dirt Detection Technology and future compatibility with Matter (another company's robot that can autonomously wash mop pads).

It's the only robot vacuum/mop that has an exemplary 10/10 in our evaluations, thanks to a combination of high-tech sensors, which include cameras, a structured light system and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra is also the only robot we tested that is fully self-refill and empty its base station, and it boasts the industry's highest suction of 12,000Pa and self-cleaning mop pads.

The X40, like other iRobot products, is easy to operate. It has a simple mobile application interface, and it is compatible with Amazon Alexa and best robot hoover Apple HomeKit. The only downside is that the X40 is still a noisy unit. This can be a problem in the mornings before work or at night when you are trying to sleep.

It's also a bit expensive however, not as much as the Ecovacs S8 MaxV Ultra or Roborock S8 Omni, which are equally impressive and attractive. If you're willing some more volume and a little more cost, this is a very powerful two-in-one that will delight most.

The smart robot utilizes LIDAR and structured lighting to map out floor plans and spot obstacles. It can navigate more efficiently than its competitors with premium features. It also comes with a front-mounted camera to detect hazards in real-time but this was not reliable in our tests and was occasionally confused by power cords or other obstructions.

Its vacuum has a high suction maximum of 7,000 Pascals, which is more than enough to complete the task. It also has a feature called "Intelligent Dirt Detection", that regulates the autonomous vacuum's power and adjusts the frequency of cleaning for different areas of the house depending on how dirty those areas tend to be.

If you have a bigger home, it's worth selecting a robot that comes with spot or zone cleaning mode. This lets you inform the robot of which area of your house needs to be cleaned using the app or voice command. If you have furniture, a stair-mode is also a good option. Finally, a recharge and resume feature that allows your robot vacuum to continue where it left off is ideal for busy families.

5. iRobot Roomba RX3

The RX3 is more intelligent than its price suggests. It has a great vacuuming performance and was able to remove 55% of debris in our tests. (It was second to the Roomba Q5 Pro). It also mops using one pad and a reciprocating movement that is more efficient than most mop cleaners for robots that we've tested. It's self-sufficient too, with a full-featured application and an auto-emptying washable base.

The well-designed iRobot app guides you through a mapping session that collects data about your floorplan as well as any "no-go" areas you have marked on the map. It can be used to design cleaning schedules or create an automatic spot-clean. You can also use it to prioritize the most soiled areas for better performance. The app has a range of features, such as seasonal suggestions, custom mapping, and advanced cleaning settings.

Its shape is more rectangular than most other robot vacuums, meaning it can reach corners and underneath furniture better. It is equipped with a powerful 8000 Pascal suction and sophisticated combs that remove pet hair. You can also organize a spot-cleaner which will thoroughly clean the area.

The Miele Scout RX3 Home Vision HD is a more sleek and Best robot hoover cheaper alternative to the iRobot Roomba. It's got a more attractive, Dolce & Gabbana-esque design and its twin cameras resemble cute eyes. It is capable of vacuuming, but it is more susceptible to getting caught on low thresholds and is noisier than the other top robotic vacuums we've tried. It also has a less user-friendly app and a tiny base station that isn't able to double as an emptying bin.
