Path of Exile Item Upgrading

In Path of Exile, item upgrading is one of the Best item upgrader ways to upgrade your equipment without relying on large-ticket drops or trade. This article will help you understand how to upgrade your gear.

Upgrades to equipment give an additional bonus to the item's stats. This bonus scales depending on the rarity and strength of the upgrade component.

Components

Upgrade components are the parts that can make your weapons and armor more effective. They can be found by destroying enemies, buying them from karma sellers or finding them in the form of item-spheres. They can also be rescued from equipment that has them or by using an advanced salvage kit like the Black Lion Salvage Kit or Ascended Salvage Tool. Upgrade components cannot be destroyed when you remove them from an item upgrade.

The main function of upgrade components is to allow an item to be upgraded however, they also serve other purposes. They can be stacked in order to increase the level of experience gained by upgrading existing equipment or weapons. They can be forged for extra bonuses. For instance, a designed glyph will increase the chances of upgrading its target, item upgrader Mod and an upgrade boost will enhance the defense or attack attribute of a weapon or armor.

Selecting an upgrade template in the GUI will let you bind it to an item. This will show the upgrade components that the item can be upgraded. Alternately, you can use the workbench to select an upgrade template. In either scenario, an item will be upgraded once enough upgrade components have been collected.

Each component has its own experience multiplier. This determines the amount of experience an item gains when upgraded using the component. For instance, organic components give a higher experience multiplier than mechanical ones. It is recommended to upgrade your organic components first until you reach the next level in the weapon or equipment, then switch to mechanical upgrades.

Each item comes with an upgrade maximum number that it is possible to receive. The number of items that are upgradeable is determined by their upgradeable rank and the type of upgrade they can receive. The highest level of upgrade is a weapon with tier 10. Sets
