Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combos

Robot vacuums and mops are becoming more adept, passing our tests for cleaning and taking on different types of floors. Choose models that allow you to select between a variety of modes, self-empty and clean stairs.

Many of the best robot vacuum models work with smartphones. Find an application that lets you save schedules, maps and select cleaning modes.

1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro

Eufy's gunmetal and gloss black Omni S1 Pro is one of the most impressive robot vacuums and mop combos on the market. It makes use of lidar to navigate, and create maps of floors and rooms (even multiple levels), and works with the free Eufy Clean application that lets you set schedules and alter the S1's behaviour.

The S1 was capable of mapping my downstairs quickly, which has linoleum flooring in the kitchen, dining room, and bathrooms, as well as carpet in the middle and a large area. It was able to drive right up to walls without hitting them, and was able to cross thresholds that were raised in the room without problem, although it sometimes was unable to navigate down the stairs in one step. The S1 also did a fantastic job cleaning hard floors, with its mop driving effortlessly on its flat side against the floor and then lifting itself when it was near carpet or rug.

Prior to each mopping session the docking station of the S1 automatically emptys its trash bin and refills the water tank with clean filtered ozonated water. The dock provides a deep-cleaning solution to the water. The S1's water tank holds enough water for around a dozen cleaning sessions before it has to be cleaned, although this will vary depending on how much you use the mop.

Like all 2-in-1 robots, the S1 requires regular maintenance to keep it working efficiently. In order to do this, you'll have to rinse out the dirty water tank regularly to avoid it from clogging. Also, you'll need to clean your sensor and swivel wheel frequently to avoid them becoming clogged up with dirt or dust. Overall the S1 requires less maintenance than other combos.

2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete

This all-in-one robot mop and vacuum from Ecovacs is a reliable option for cleaning needs. The Ecovacs robot vacuum has 8,700Pa of suction, and comes with many unique features, including full home mapping, voice control, and smart path-planning to avoid obstacles and cleans around furniture. The mopping feature is impressive, with rotating mops that actually lift and scrub the floor rather than simply drag the pad across it. The mops are cleaned and dried at the base station, as needed.

This robot combo has a simple interface that guides you throughout the process. It comes with a rechargeable hand vacuum for those hard-to-reach areas that the robot isn't able to reach as well as two water tanks that are automatically empty and replenished whenever needed. It also comes with a variety of settings that can be used to fine tune your cleaning preferences.

The Deebot X2 Combo Complete is an excellent vacuum cleaner. It has a powerful suction that can easily remove dirt and other debris that other robots have trouble with. Its navigation abilities are also quite good, though it could get stuck on small area mats and rugs at my home (which you can reduce by defining virtual boundaries in the app). Mopping capabilities are quite good, with a pair spinning mops which lift and scrub the floor, rather than just dragging the pad across it. The mops can also be cleaned with hot water and dried in the base station when required. The mops can also be refilled at the top of the station as required.

3. Dreame X40 Ultra

Dreame's X30 Ultra robot vacuum and mop was launched earlier this year. But their latest flagship model has even more impressive features. It offers outstanding cleaning results and hands-off maintenance making it a top contender for our top mop and robot vacuum list. Its superior mapping abilities, RGB AI smart detection and Best Robot vacuum an extended side brush ensure that an efficient, custom-designed clean is achieved.

The X40 Ultra does an excellent job of vacuuming and removing fine and large debris from both hard floors and carpets. It also cleaned our test's dirtiest areas well, eliminating pet hairs that are tangled and other dirt. The sweeping power of the machine is enhanced by a sidebrush which automatically moves out to reach areas that are difficult to reach, and a mop pad that extends across baseboards.

Its navigation system is intelligent that can navigate tight spaces and climbing stairs without missing a beat. It can go from one room to another without having to reverse direction. This is a great feature for large homes with multiple rooms. Its obstacle avoidance system is not as advanced than its competitors However, it tends to leave a thick distance over obstacles, which can result in missed spots.

The interface of the app is simple and well-organized. It should be easy to use for both novices and experienced users. The app allows you to plan and manage cleanings, adjust mopping and suction power settings, view 2D and 3D maps, and more. It can be controlled via the app, Alexa, Google Assistant or Siri which allows you to keep an eye on its progress from any location. You can also use the X40 Ultra's camera remotely, for real-time video monitoring. You'll need a stable WiFi connection to run the app and external controls.

4. Roomba Q5 Pro

A robot vacuum can do a fantastic job of picking up debris and dirt, but it can't always reach every last piece of dust. This is why it's important to use your regular vacuum at least once every week, particularly to clean dust from corners and on shelves and in the corners of your couch. Its mops also impress with their 2700Pa capacity to tackle dirt and pet hair, on both carpets and hard flooring. The Q5 is among the few robots we tested that didn't show any trouble with high-pile carpets and area rug, but it was unable to pick up cables or kitty litter that's not a surprise since it does not include AI-powered obstacle avoidance.

5. K10 Plus

K10 Plus is the quietest robot vacuum we've ever tested. It also features an innovative mapping system that allows it to reach tight corners and corners that other vacuums can't. It also stores dust in a larger dustbin which means you need empty it less frequently. It also has washable filters that further lower the expenses associated with using the device. The robot is also able to detect carpets and boost the suction when needed. You can also mark off areas you want to keep out of the app.
