Guild Wars 2 Item Upgrade

Most upgrade components inserted into items cannot be repaired or replaced without dismantling the gear in question, with the exception of legendary equipment and upgrades. If you have a glyph or rune you do not want to use, but it hasn't been incorporated to gear yet, you can transfer the item to a different piece by selecting the Upgrade Glyphs menu on the Glyphs Panel. This will create a new Glyph Set with the selected glyph.

You can remove any glyph with the help of the Black Lion Salvage Kit, or an Ascended Salvage tool. The item where the glyph is installed will be destroyed, but the upgraded item can be salvaged using the glyph shards.

Players have complained that the reroll system is expensive. It's better to allow players to pay for it using money or food items which would allow players to make changes to their builds without having to spend too much time. However paying for rerolls is not something the developers want to implement at this point in the game's development. Leveling

There are a number of ways to boost the value of an item upgrade. The first is to increase the upgrade amount that increases the upgrade value of a given stat.
