World of Warcraft item upgrading Upgrades

The upgrading of your items is a vital part of equipping your character. Upgrades increase the damage of your item and enhancements.

They also offer bonus effects and enhancements. They can be purchased by contacting the Blacksmith.

Players can recycle any item by pressing the upgrade button on it. Each recycled item adds one level to the upgrade gauge.

Weapons

When a weapon is upgraded, it is granted a base damage bonus and an increase in the scaling factor that affects other stats. Certain upgrade components have cosmetic effects, while others offer additional features. These upgrades can be put into armor, weapons, trinkets, or gathering tools, and most require that the equipment have an upgrade slot available and meet certain specifications. If a weapon piece has an upgrade component in it, it is able to be upgraded but the previous upgrade will be destroyed (except for legendary equipment and upgrades). Upgrade components can be retrieved with the help of a Black-Lion Salvage Kit or an Ascended Salvage Tool, or using a high-tier salvage tool on the item upgrader mod it self.

In addition to the standard upgrades, a weapon can be upgraded using a Calibration Attribute that improves certain stats, such as Weakspot Damage or Crit Rate. This is done via the Gear Workbench's interaction menu. This can be repeated four times based on the weapon's level.

Once the weapon has reached max upgrade, it can be rebuilt using a variety of different types of upgrades to increase specific stats or to add bonuses and effects. These upgrades can be applied simultaneously and their effects will vary depending on how rare the weapon is.

There are two Blacksmiths in the game who can perform these upgrades: Blacksmith Hewg in the Church of Elleh hub area as well as Smithing Master Iji in the Road to the Manor Site of Grace. Both require different upgrade materials: Smithing Stones for standard weapons, and Somber Smithing Stones to alter the kind of damage a weapon deals.

In general, it is recommended to increase the damage of your weapon first, followed by armor defense, and finally the other secondary stats that are required by your build. In particular, it's common to see melee druids upgrading their weapon before they upgrade any other gear, since this will increase DPS. This is especially relevant for enchantments that boost a weapon's stats and damage.

Armor

Item Upgrades let players improve the base stats of specific pieces of armor, weapons, trinkets and gathering tools. These upgrades may also provide additional effects, for example, more damage or a cosmetic enhancement. Item Upgrades can be obtained by crafting, purchasing from NPC vendors, or in loot drops or as quest rewards.

The armor can be upgraded by visiting the Armorer NPC and spending appropriate currency. In most cases the armor can be upgraded to the next level after an upgrade items is applied. This is the case for all types of armor, though certain items are not upgradeable in any way (such as the armor that is used as a starter in Great Sky Island).

The majority of armor upgrades boost the strength or defense of an item by just a little. However, some upgrade components can provide significant improvements in defense or strength, particularly when upgrading an epic item.

In addition to enhancing the defense base of an item, a few upgrades also offer special abilities that can be activated when wearing an armor. These abilities can be helpful in combat, for instance providing a boost to attack speed or blocking. Some upgrades also provide useful passive effects, for instance decreasing the amount of damage sustained when wearing armor, or giving you a a chance to dodge attacks.

Upgrades to armor can require multiple attempts, based on the type of armor. If a player wishes to upgrade Steelclash armor to Dragonscale, then the first attempt will result in a brand new Dragonscale armor that has an armor base defense of 59-67. The second attempt will result in a brand new Dragonscale armor that has a base defense between 67-77, and the list goes on.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild lets players upgrade their armor sets up to level 4. To do this, they must visit each of the four locations referred to as Great Fairy Fountains in the game. Each of these locations is home to the power of a fairy who can upgrade one piece of armor for the player.

Contrary to popular belief, armor in The Division 2 is not in any way useless. Certain armors give a substantial boost to the reduction of the damage caused by poison or curse, magic or fire. This trinket at its current level makes all kinds of Xx of replicas more popular and gives each floor a A% chance that it has an ebony replica. Upgrades to this trinket will cost an amount of energy.

The magic of the enchanted Scepter appears to influence the dungeon, increasing its likelihood of producing water and grass. At the moment, this trinket makes X% of regular floors filled with water or grass but it doesn't affect enchantments, the glyphs, cursed weapons, armor, or other items created to help solve hazard rooms.

At the moment, this trinket increases the overall health of the drinkers of healing, waterkins, and wells of health by X% and gives you the ability to see enemies within the Y tiles. Skull Cavern is where you will find Trinkets after completing the Mastery Cave. You can find them after defeating Monsters and in chests and crates. They aren't found in the Mines or Volcano Dungeon.

When you have a trinket which requires upgrading then place it in the Anvil to do so. This will cause an unintended effect on the trinket either increasing its duration or enhancing its effects. You can reuse the Trinket as many times as you'd like but it will always be able to produce the same effect.

You can upgrade your Trinkets in the Alchemy Station by placing them into a Magical Catalyst. This will cost you 6 energy, but will increase the trinkets power by a tiny amount.
