Greenpower Mobility - All-Energy Medium and Heavy-Duty Vehicles

Greenpower creates and manufactures, Mobility Power Scooters as well as distributes an entire range of heavy- and medium-duty electric vehicles. This includes transit buses as well as school buses, as well as cargo buses and shuttles.

EV Star is a highly customizable zero-emission vehicle. It's fully FTA certified, Altoona tested and Buy America conforming. It has a class-leading range and ADA wheelchair-friendly features. It also offers cargo delivery options.

EV Star

GreenPower Motor [Redirect-302] Company produces a full suite of high-floor and low-floor all-power electric scooter medium and heavy-duty vehicles. Their flagship vehicle is the EV Star Cab & Chassis platform, which is able to accommodate many different bodies and upfits for a variety of applications. The design of the platform is based on a clear sheet of paper, which allows for optimal placement of the battery and a lower center of gravity. This leads to better payload/range ratios.

The EV Star REEFERX is designed to meet the needs of mid-to-last mile refrigerated delivery and catering applications. The refrigerated truck's class 4 configuration's one wall structure in the interior and higher insulation levels compared to traditional trucks enable seamless sanitation, improved temperature control, and a longer life. The EV Star REEFERX provides superior cargo capacity and a world-class payload to range ratio that is ideal for zero emission passenger transport and goods.

GreenPower joined forces with Perrone Robotics in order to equip the EV Star with TONY (To navigate you) autonomous vehicle systems. This will allow fleets to make the transition to autonomous vehicles. The AV Star is also capable of wireless charging up to 75 kW.

We were capable of testing the EV9 on the local highway for a few hours, and found it to be simple to drive and comfortable to drive for long distances. The ride is smooth and smooth over ruts and bumps, while the EV9 does a great job of reducing wind and road noise on the highway. The acceleration is surprisingly quick and the vehicle has adjustable regenerative braking that allows "one pedal driving" by simply taking off the accelerator.

The EV9 provides a large range and can be charged in just three hours or less at home, or with any commercial charger. Drivers have the option of choosing between two operating modes: eco mode and sports mode. The eco mode is a preference for torque and cruise control and the sport mode is designed to maximize speed and handling. Both are fun to drive and provide a unique driving experience for those who have never been in an electric scooter green vehicle before.

In addition to the EV9, GreenPower has several other electric scooter green vehicles, including a multi-purpose all-green electric scooter minibus called the EV Star. The EV Star is ADA-compliant and can be used as executive shuttles, microtransit and transit buses, vanpools, or paratransit vehicles.

GreenPower produces approximately 10 EV Star buses per month for Jacksonville Transit Authority. The Jacksonville Transit Authority is replacing their older diesel vehicles fleet with 100 all-electric cars. With the Biden Administration looking to electrify school buses nationwide, GreenPower plans on ramping production to meet demand. Their EV Star buses are the first of their kind to be Altoona tested and FMVSS certified. They are Buy America compliant, and ADA certified. They will be eligible for federal transit grants.
